Seriously I've really appreciated everything you've done, but we've got it from here.

Thank you, for your service, you know. I mean, you hear about all these celebrities and athletes but... you're the real American hero.

I don't want Christine to think that morality is handed down by some invisible deity. Morality evolved to preserve the species. Whoever this is, thanks for saving me.

Every man or woman on that field is grateful for the chance to be there, to meet in the spirit of friendly competition, man against man, nation against nation, to test themselves without fear or rancor against the best the other side has to offer.

But look, the bottom line is you saved our son's life, and one day Caleb is gonna be able to thank you for that, but in the meantime, I would like to thank you on behalf of our entire family.

And although I want to thank the talented people of our company foremost for that -- and also there's a factor of luck and timing -- we are absolutely convinced that we did this because of our values.

How can each one of us find a method for living gratefully, not just once in a while being grateful, but moment by moment to be grateful.

Grateful people are joyful people, and joyful people -- the more and more joyful people there are, the more and more we'll have a joyful world.

And if we learn to appreciate how special our planet is, how important it is to look after our home and to find others, how incredibly fortunate we all are simply to be aware of the universe, humanity might survive for a while.

But a few made it anyway, despite our best efforts, and now it's time for us to thank them for the work they did and give them every chance they have to raise the coral reefs of the future, their coral babies.

So, the next time you smell exhaust fumes, salty sea air, or roast chicken, you'll know exactly how you've done it and, perhaps, be a little more thankful that you can.

You see, as I got older, while I was grateful for this amazing opportunity that I was being given, there was this ever-present pang of: But what about everyone else?

(Laughter) Role models really matter, but even with such strong role models who I am so grateful for, when I was encouraged to run for president, my first reaction was, "Who am I to run for president?

It's their great calling right now, to get people all around the world better at expanding their moral imaginations, appreciating that in so many ways they're in the same boat.
